Supporting Students
The Progress & Support Team is made up of Heads and Assistant Heads of Year, the Learning Support Team, the Safeguarding Team, Home School Link Workers and Student Services. The team also works closely with the Sixth Form Team, to ensure that students across the school are well supported and prepared for learning.
The school sets out to accept people for who they are, to offer them security, guidance and opportunities, and to respect them all as individuals. The Progress and Support Team all support students’ well-being and create a harmonious and warm atmosphere throughout the school.
Our tutorial programme in all years helps students understand and adapt their own behaviour and respond appropriately to other people. Students meet their tutor twice a day and spend time each week with their tutor following a programme of Community and Personal Education. A week’s Work Experience is organised for all students in Year 12.
